MAMA MOVES

PRE & POSTNATAL TRAINING

MAMA Moves offers dynamic workouts designed to help you STRENGTHEN, SWEAT & SCULPT safely before and after baby.  Choose from in-person or virtual Personal Training sessions, or our on-demand programs.  Mama Moves includes daily breath work practice, pelvic floor activation and exercises, learning how to recognize signs of intolerance and modify accordingly, guided recovery, and more!  Our goal is to arm you with all the knowledge you need to modify exercises for any workout!

ABOUT MAMA MOVES

MAMA Moves is a program for all fitness levels, even those who don’t currently workout!  The program encourages Mamas to train at moderate to vigorous levels to better prepare for labor, delivery and recovery — however all exercises are modifiable for beginners or high risk pregnancies, and align with the ACOG guidelines (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists).  Classes are led by owners Stephanie and Kaylee, who are ACE Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Fitness Specialists.  Classes are on-demand so you can complete any time, any where!

PROGRAM BENEFITS

Exercise is not only safe during pregnancy, it provides many benefits to both mother and baby.  Studies have shown that women who exercise at a mild to moderate intensity for 30 minutes three or more times a week will experience the following positive effects:

  • Better sleep and increased energy
  • Less overall body fat, better muscle tone, strength and endurance
  • Improved self-image, mood & good posture
  • Less time in the pushing phase of delivery (new study shows regular exercise shortens labor by 50 minutes!)
  • Less physical discomfort (reduced chance of swelling, bloating, leg crams and other displeasant side effects)
  • Reduced risk of gestational diabetes and/or pregnancy-induced hypertension
  • Lower incidence of Caesaraen section birth and fewer obstetric interventions

The benefits don’t stop there — babies born to women who exercise are better self-soothers, tend to be leaner, have higher general intelligence scores and better oral language skills all the way to age 5.  Exercise postpartum will promise a faster recovery from pregnancy, labor & delivery (abdominals, pelvic floor, etc.), a quicker return to pre-pregnancy shape, and lower incidences of postpartum blues or depression.

When you register for the MAMA Moves program, you’ll get the chance to connect with other Mamas and become part of a community of like-minded, badass women.  At the start of the program, you’ll gain access to a private Facebook group where you can share experiences, fears, excitement, trade secrets, ask questions, motivate one another, or just be inspired!  

Women who exercise in a group postpartum have been shown to have more success at maintaining weight loss than those who exercise alone.
